Details:
Senior Data Developer
Location: Houston TX - 2 days/week hybrid
Type: Full time/Direct Hire
As the Senior Data Developer, you will:
  • Implement and maintain consistently available database systems
  • Develop and maintain data models using DBT, data flow diagrams, and system architecture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Data Architect to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and secure data and system solutions
  • Work with Integration and Analytic resources to define data models to support integrations and analytics
  • Leverage tools for DataOps (CI/CD)

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of work experience; 10+ years of experience in related work if no degree
  • A Master's Degree may substitute two (2) years' of work experience
  • Proficient in SQL, DBT, and ELT/ETL processes
  • Creating and maintaining Stored Procedures
  • Highly experienced in Snowflake
  • Ability to perform data analysis, identify source data issues, and provide written recommendations for data quality
  • Capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong knowledge of data integration, data warehousing, data governance best practices, and security controls
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team to translate tasks into deliverables
  • Effective at designing and implementing solutions that meet scalability and performance requirements

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with BI reporting tools such as Tabluea or PowerBI (Sigma Computing preferred)
  • Experience working with Python to perform data analysis, data transformations, and data cleansing
  • DataOps experience (Team utilizes DataOps.Live platform)
