Job Summary:
ActioNet is seeking a Systems Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, and sustainment of Windows and Linux infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems in a classified environment. This role bridges engineering and operations, contributing to infrastructure architecture and providing hands-on operational support.
Responsibilities:
• Work directly with customers, architects, and engineering teams in a technical role
• Assist in the design and implementation of Windows and Linux infrastructure solutions
• Develop and maintain system build standards, baselines, and configuration guidance
• Support system deployments from bare metal through production environments
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements and recommend technical solutions
• Support integration of compute, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or optimizations
• Support backups, disaster recovery planning, and system recovery operations
• Ensure infrastructure designs and implementations adhere to STIGs, RMF, and IC security requirements
• Participate in security reviews, technical exchanges, and design discussions
• Provide escalation support and technical guidance to system administrators
• Maintain engineering documentation, diagrams, and system design artifacts
• Support audits, inspections, and accreditation activities
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. citizenship
• active TS SCI and eligible for CI Poly
• onsite support 90% of the time

• CompTIA Security+
• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Microsoft Windows Server certification
