Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist - $30/HR
HTM Contractors, Inc. | Honolulu, HI
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to ensure vendor bills, accounts payable transactions, and payment preparation activities are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and supporting a high-performing accounting team.

Pay & Schedule:
  • $30/hour starting
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM (one hour unpaid lunch)
  • Weekly Pay

The Work:
Accounts Payable
  • Enter approved vendor bills within 48 hours of receipt
  • Verify account coding and supporting documentation
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records
  • Review and monitor AP aging reports
  • Prepare weekly payment batches for management approval
  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time

Vendor Administration
  • Collect and maintain current W-9 forms
  • Process new vendor setup requests
  • Maintain organized and accurate vendor files
  • Verify required documentation before vendor activation
  • Ensure vendor records remain current and compliant

Credit Card Administration
  • Collect missing receipts from employees
  • Enter company credit card transactions accurately
  • Maintain complete supporting documentation for all transactions
  • Follow up on outstanding receipts and documentation daily

Record Keeping
  • Maintain organized accounting files and records
  • Ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready
  • Support accounting staff with documentation requests
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems

Requirements:
  • Previous accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    Excellent organizational and time management skills
    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    Strong communication and follow-up skills
    Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
    Ability to maintain confidential financial information
    Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented
    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
