What You’ll Do:

The Senior Data Engineer will drive the growth, productivity, and management of our organization by sourcing and delivering information critical for growth and operational efficiency. Using your technical acumen and business knowledge, you will identify cutting edge tools and best practices to design and develop data solutions that advance business goals across various teams including Sales, Credit, Finance, and Operations.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with various teams including Sales, Credit, Finance, and Operations to understand, prioritize, and deliver data and enhancement requests.
  • Work with management to determine data needs to create portfolio reporting for internal management and external funding partners.
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain data systems.
  • Drive the automation of reporting, analytics, and data collection processes.
  • Design, develop and implement databases and data collection systems, including data warehouse platform.
  • Create APIs to seamlessly integrate internal and external applications.
  • Act as a liaison between business end users and technology back end to bridge gaps in system functionality and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business users and vendors to define and manage system customizations.
  • Work with technology and business senior leadership to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other information technology team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience auditing data inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and validity
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications and business processes
  • Commercial leasing and lending experience required
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
  • Experience working with Azure Data Factory
  • Strong SQL query design, optimization, and performance tuning skills
  • Experience with relational databases and BI reporting tools
  • Experience with REST APIs and system integrations
  • Strong understanding of data design concepts and data management best practices
  • Experience automating data pipelines, reporting, and analytics processes
  • Strong experience with Python or similar programming languages.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination and background check 

Compensation:

  • $115,000-$140,000 annual salary depending on skills and experience
