Clinical Secretary- Inpatient Center
Part Time
Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 8:30pm
2 holidays, 12 hr. shifts, 7:30am - 8:30pm
No weekends
Must be available for a full time orientation during the day for a period of time
Essential Functions
  • Assures all guests are welcomed and incoming calls are courteously received.
  • Provides secretarial functions such as faxing, typing, and copying.
  • Maintains and distributes Inpatient Center (IPC) daily census in a timely fashion.
  • Prepares admission packets.
  • Prepares IPC charts at time of transfer and completes chart upon death or transfer to another facility.
  • Assists with follow up calls and details of death and transfer checklists as requested.
  • Communicates effectively with organizational staff, physicians, patients, visitors, outside contractors and community agencies.
  • Maintains adequate supplies of all Inpatient Center forms and booklets.
  • Serves as liaison with medical records department
  • Provides secretarial assistance to staff.
  • Maintains professional boundaries.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential job function.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of office, clerical or administrative experience required
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills required.
