Title : Manager, Grid Integration - Data Centers & Power Projects (ERCOT)
Basic Function: The Manager, Grid Integration will support the interconnection, transmission, and commissioning activities for large-load (data center) projects and utility-scale generation and in ERCOT. Working closely with senior members of the Grid Integration team, this individual will coordinate project interconnection activities from early-stage development through commercial operation.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical fundamentals with excellent project management and communication skills and is eager to grow into a subject matter expert in ERCOT interconnection and transmission.
Key Responsibilities:Interconnection & Project Development
  • Support large-load interconnection and generator interconnection activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of ERCOT interconnection requests, RARFs, and related documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing interconnection applications, study agreements, and interconnection agreements.
  • Coordinate with ERCOT, transmission providers, utilities, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Track project milestones to help maintain development schedules.

Transmission & Market Analysis
  • Support and conduct power flow analysis and congestion analysis for prospective project sites.
  • Evaluate available transmission capacity, network upgrade costs, and project deliverability.
  • Analyze competing queue positions and transmission expansion plans.
  • Monitor ERCOT market rule changes and assess project impacts.

Engineering & Commissioning
  • Support project commissioning activities, including backfeed, synchronization, and Commercial Operation Date (COD).
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, QSEs, engineering, SCADA, and operations teams during construction and commissioning.
  • Assist with project design modifications requiring ERCOT approval, including equipment substitutions and engineering updates.
  • Support projects in meeting ERCOT Criteria such as LVRT/HVRT/Load Smoothing & any other requirements for the large load or/and generation projects.
  • Help optimize project schedules and commissioning activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Development, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Strategy, Operations, and Asset Management teams.
  • Participate in utility, ERCOT, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support due diligence activities for project financing and acquisitions.
  • Maintain documentation and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.

Job Qualification /Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3-7 years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, grid integration, utility engineering, or renewable energy development.
  • Working knowledge of ERCOT generator and/or large-load interconnection processes.
  • Understanding of transmission planning concepts and power system fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.

Preferred:
  • Experience with ERCOT protocols and market operations.
  • Familiarity with FERC interconnection processes.
  • Experience with power system software such as PSSยฎE, PSLF, TARA, or PowerWorld.
  • Exposure to Python, SQL, or data analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy, battery storage, or data center projects.

Base Pay - $140,000 - $165000
The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks-while ensuring internal parity across our teams. The compensation range provided reflects base pay. Total rewards may also include performance-based bonuses, equity grants, and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
