Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Data Center Installers (open to Technicians, but focus onInstallers) in New Albany, OH. This role is responsible for the hands-on installation of mission-critical infrastructure within a data center environment, focusing on the physical deployment of cabling, racks, and server hardware. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manual labor or construction, a proven track record of reliability, and a professional attitude toward technical projects.

Pay: $23 to $26 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, route, and secure data cables throughout the facility according to project specifications and design layouts.
  • Assist with the assembly, placement, and securing of server racks, cabinets, and containment systems.
  • Unpack and mount servers, switches, and other network hardware components into designated rack positions.
  • Perform basic cable management tasks including labeling, dressing, and organizing fiber and copper runs.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete mechanical assemblies and infrastructure installations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety and compliance with data center standards.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring items are staged correctly for the installation team.
  • Support senior technicians and project leads in the execution of large-scale infrastructure build-outs.
  • Follow all site-specific safety protocols and security procedures while working in sensitive environments.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in labor-intensive environments such as construction, warehouse operations, or mechanical assembly.
  • Demonstrated history of excellent attendance and professional reliability.
  • Experience using basic hand tools for installation and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and read basic installation diagrams or floor plans.
