Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Data Center Technician in Mesa, AZ. This Data Center Technician role involves supporting both cabling and conveyance teams within a hyperscale facility in Mesa, AZ. The ideal candidate is a proactive technician capable of performing hardware installations and structured cabling while adhering to strict site-specific security and safety procedures.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22 to $24 Per Hour BOE

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Hammertech Training Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Execute scheduled data center Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) including device labeling and power connectivity.
  • Install and route fiber and copper cabling infrastructure according to project schematics.
  • Assemble and install conveyance systems such as cable trays and ladder racks.
  • Maintain accurate auditing, asset management, and daily work logs.
  • Support hardware troubleshooting and break-fix work orders.
  • Comply with site-specific arrival instructions, including Gate 3 entry and security check-in.
  • Collaborate with team members across cabling and conveyance departments to meet deployment goals.
  • Maintain site security protocols and data protection procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Must complete mandatory safety induction training prior to onsite orientation.
  • Available for scheduled onsite orientations on Mondays or Thursdays as required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data center operations or structured cabling.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Proven ability to follow detailed site access and arrival instructions.
  • Basic understanding of data center power distribution and best practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights, off ladders, and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift.
  • Ability to distinguish different colors for technical cable identification.
  • Comfortable working in construction site environments including exposure to heat and dust.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $22 to $24 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
