Low Voltage Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Pay: Up to $20.00/hour, based on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are hiring dependable, motivated individuals interested in starting a career in the low-voltage industry. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, and eager to learn a skilled trade.

No previous low-voltage experience is required. Candidates with construction, electrical, telecommunications, warehouse, mechanical, or general labor experience are encouraged to apply.

You will work alongside experienced technicians and receive hands-on training while assisting with the installation, routing, termination, and maintenance of low-voltage cabling and related equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist experienced technicians with low-voltage installations.
  • Pull, route, organize, and secure low-voltage cabling.
  • Assist with installing cable pathways, supports, and related equipment.
  • Help terminate, test, and label cables under the direction of experienced technicians.
  • Safely operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Load, unload, organize, and transport materials and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company procedures and all jobsite safety requirements.
  • Learn to read basic plans, drawings, and cable layouts.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, technicians, and other crew members.
  • Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift.
SYSTEMS & SKILLS YOU MAY LEARN

This position offers hands-on exposure to a variety of low-voltage technologies, including:

  • Structured cabling
  • CAT5e and CAT6 data cabling
  • Fiber optic cabling
  • Security and access control systems
  • CCTV and camera systems
  • Audio/visual systems
  • Network and telecommunications infrastructure
QUALIFICATIONS
  • No previous low-voltage experience required.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in various jobsite environments.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to and from jobsites.
  • Ability and willingness to follow all jobsite safety requirements.

Previous experience in construction, electrical work, telecommunications, warehousing, mechanical work, or general labor is helpful but not required.
