We leverage advanced technology and deep analytical insights to streamline operational workflows and reduce inefficiencies across the healthcare ecosystem. Our remote-first team fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, where every team member has the opportunity to make a direct impact on our success.

Role Summary

As a BI Engineer I, you will serve as the essential bridge between our Operations, Business Technology, and Client Management teams. Your core mission is to enhance communication and workflow execution through data-driven analysis. In this role, you will manage internal operational applications, oversee task scheduling, administer security portals, and maintain business intelligence reports. • Maintain BI Reporting: Monitor and support scheduled dashboards and automated reports across business intelligence platforms such as Looker and Power BI.

  • Administer Secure Portals: Manage the corporate SFTP Portal by creating, auditing, and maintaining secure login accounts for both internal users and external clients.

  • Ensure Data Integrity: Execute data imports and exports across business systems, conducting systematic data cleansing and preparation as required.

  • Collaborate with IT: Define and supply technical requirements and step-by-step procedures to the core IT department for advanced data pulls and infrastructure preparation.

  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct rigorous reviews of automated reports generated by IT to ensure absolute accuracy and consistency.

  • Analyze and Identify Trends: Query and evaluate disparate data types to identify operational trends, proactively presenting creative solutions to improve overall system performance.

Qualifications

Must-Haves (Required):
  • Education & Experience: 0–3 years of professional experience in a data-oriented, IT, or business technology role, or a Bachelor of Science in a technical or analytical discipline.

  • Data Management Skills: Hands-on experience with data imports/exports, file formatting, and basic data cleansing techniques.

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with SFTP protocols, secure file sharing, and basic system account management.

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a natural ability to identify trends and patterns within complex datasets.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently collaborate across internal departments and external client teams.

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred):
  • BI Tool Experience: Previous exposure to Business Intelligence visualization software, particularly Looker and Power BI.

  • Database Knowledge: A basic understanding of relational databases or cloud data warehouses (such as MySQL, Snowflake, or Databricks).

  • Industry Domain Knowledge: Experience working within the healthcare industry or familiarity with provider denial workflows.

Mental and Physical Demands

  • Work Environment: This role operates in a standard, sedentary remote office environment requiring extensive use of computers, screens, and peripheral equipment.

  • Physical Demands: Essential physical functions include typing, repetitive hand/wrist motions, and maintaining a seated position for the majority of the workday.

  • Mental Demands: This position requires sustained mental concentration to complete analytical tasks, review complex datasets, and digest technical documentation. You must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders on a continuous basis.

Related Duties as Assigned

  • This job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected for this role. It is not intended to be a comprehensive or exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and activities, which may evolve over time to meet business needs.

  • To perform this role successfully, you may be asked to complete standard company and partner compliance requirements, including background screenings, drug tests, and strict adherence to personal health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII) security standards. TREND Health Partners strictly observes and complies with all accommodations and exemptions as outlined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
