Job description

The Business Intelligence Engineer will be part of a high-visibility, growth in a dynamic, entrepreneurial analytics team. We are seeking an exceptionally talented and deeply focused BI Engineer with analytical skills who will build some of the largest reporting objects in Devices Forecasting space, contribute to business outcomes by analytics while also providing engineering services to our managed and centralized Tableau and AWS QuickSight dashboards. This is a unique early-stage opportunity to build the largest Amazon Devices BI environments of present day.

The role holder will build their know-how rapidly and thrive in Amazon's fast-paced, Day 1 culture.
Key job responsibilities
You know and love solving problems using data, working with business intelligence tools, can build ETL pipelines, support statistical models using multidimensional data sets and can partner with business owners to answer key questions. You are analytical, innovative, creative, disruptive, and you don't give up. As part of Alexa devices BI team you will work with both structured and unstructured datasets while using a combination of AWS and internal amazon tools.

Interface with product managers, data engineers and software developers, gather requirements and deliver complete analytics/reporting solutions.
2. Own the design, development, and maintenance of datasets, metrics, reports, analyses, etc. to drive key business decisions.

Build and maintain Tableau or Quicksight Dashboards. Create data cubes and automated pipelines to power these dashboards.
4. Help product teams with analytical deep dives to help support MBRs.
About the team
The primary purpose of the Alexa devices business insights team is to drive understanding of Alexa customers' behaviors and to connect the dots from multiple data sources to unlock opportunities that drive both forward-looking product and feature roadmap, drive new customer acquisition, and increase customer engagement

By focusing on the three core principles of 1) harnessing data, 2) applying analytics, and 3) interpreting insights, this team will provide the devices org with deep product actionable discernment that will scale to achieve sustained competitive advantage.
