Title: Data BI Analyst
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: Long-term/Perm W2 Contract
Compensation: $46-48/Hr

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business units to understand reporting, analytics, and operational insight needs
  • Translate business questions into KPIs, metrics, analytical use cases, and data models
  • Document functional and technical requirements to support enterprise BI initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and data engineering teams to ensure data availability, consistency, and quality
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non technical audiences, including leadership
  • Troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and reporting discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and approved enterprise BI platforms
  • Create and manage semantic models, including relationships, measures, and row level security
  • Leverage Azure based data sources (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, OneLake) in alignment with standards
  • Implement refresh strategies, performance tuning, and capacity optimization
  • Support deployment, versioning, and lifecycle management of BI artifacts across environments
  • Support data governance, data quality, documentation, and metadata standards
  • Ensure BI solutions comply with security, privacy, and access control policies
  • Implement data lineage and documentation practices to support auditability and trust

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or Analytics roles
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with structured enterprise data
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
  • Ability to communicate insights effectively to technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Hands on experience with Power BI and modern BI platforms
  • Experience with Azure data services as BI data sources
  • Microsoft certification preferred (Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer)
