Job description

Overview

Adastra is seeking a Sr. Associate Data Product Manager to support the execution, day-to-day management, and continuous improvement of a web-based data application. This role will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to gather and translate business requirements, coordinate product initiatives, and help ensure the application is delivered with quality and aligned to business needs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and eager to grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This individual will support product delivery, application administration, stakeholder engagement, and continuous product enhancement while helping drive a high-quality user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Planning & Requirements

  • Support product roadmap planning and execution
  • Translate business and user needs into Product Requirements Documents, creating clear and actionable user stories and technical requirements for design and development teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of application functionality and user workflows to identify opportunities for product enhancements and process improvements
  • Maintain, prioritize, and refine the product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify user behavior trends, gaps, and potential product opportunities

Project Delivery

  • Track project timelines, sprint schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risks to support successful delivery
  • Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, project plans, decision logs, and related materials
  • Identify opportunities to improve project workflows and documentation standards

Application Support

  • Support the day-to-day administration of the application, including content management, user support, and ongoing maintenance activities to ensure a high-quality user experience
  • Perform quality assurance testing across user roles to validate new features and enhancements
  • Coordinate with technical teams to investigate, triage, and resolve user issues
  • Develop strategies and materials to maximize user understanding of the product and support successful engagement, including user guides, training materials, and user communications

Stakeholder & User Engagement

  • Develop a strong understanding of the workflows and needs of diverse user groups to ensure product enhancements effectively address business needs
  • Gather, organize, and synthesize user feedback to help inform future product enhancements and backlog prioritization
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and end users to understand evolving business needs and improve the overall user experience
  • Support the development of stakeholder engagement and user-facing presentations

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Work Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in Product Management or a related field
  • Experience working with technical products, software applications, or data products
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical requirements
  • Proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Asana

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable communication
