Development Database Operations VolunteerBackground

The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s is dedicated to redefining what it means to live with Parkinson’s by improving quality of life for individuals and their loved ones. Through expanded access to movement, education, and support programs, primarily through the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson’s Wellness, the Foundation empowers people with Parkinson’s to live fuller, more connected lives. Its work is guided by a vision of inspiration, hope, and help for all impacted by the disease.

Position Summary

The Development Database Operations Volunteer plays an important role in supporting the organization's fundraising and donor stewardship efforts by helping maintain the donor database and ensuring accurate, reliable constituent records. This volunteer supports the integrity and effective use of donor data, assists with fundraising operations, reporting, and data management, and contributes to creating a positive, donor-centered experience across all interactions.

Essential FunctionsReporting Structure
  • This role will:
    • Report to the Chief Development Officer
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintaining the organization’s donor database, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
  • Assist with gift processing, acknowledgments, and reconciliation in coordination with development and finance staff.
  • Maintain reports and dashboards to track progress and support fundraising strategy development.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities related to fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
  • Prepare donor lists, mailing files, and data segmentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of donor information.
Qualifications
  • Familiar with CRMs (e.g. – Bloomerang, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
