Position Summary
We are seeking a hard working, detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support our procurement team in ensuring that the company has the materials and services needed to operate effectively. The Procurement Assistant will assist in coordinating the procurement process, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with vendors.
What Youll Do

  • Assists buyers, requesters, and other professionals with procurement activities.
  • Assist in identifying reliable vendors or suppliers.
  • Receives purchase requests from various departments; verifying that product information, shipping information, cost, and delivery dates are correct; and transfers to buyer to finalize purchase order.
  • Create accurate and detailed purchase requests in coordination with requesters.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Assist in evaluating and comparing suppliers, products, and prices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is a plus. (3yrs procurement experience in lieu of degree)
  • Proven experience in a customer service role.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be a US citizen
