Position: IT Program Manager
Location: 100% Remote - EST
Duration: 12 Month Renewable Contract
Hours: 35 Hours per week
Rate: $95-100/hr W2

Overview:
This role will provide senior-level program leadership for a large information security program, ensuring related projects are coordinated, governed, resourced, and delivered in alignment with organizational priorities.
The IT Program Manager should have experience coordinating complex IT initiatives across one or more of the following areas:
• IT Helpdesk and end-user support
• Data Center operations
• Data Networking operations
• Information Security, including on-premises systems and XaaS/cloud-based
services
Tasks and responsibilities in this position:
• Lead and coordinate a portfolio of related projects to ensure all work streams
support overarching information security goals and organizational objectives.
• Establish program governance, decision-making processes, controls,
accountability structures, and escalation paths across IT and stakeholder groups.
• Develop and maintain an integrated program roadmap, schedule, milestone plan,
dependency register, and implementation approach.
• Oversee program budgets, track costs, monitor resource utilization, and support
financial forecasting and reporting.
• Identify technical, operational, security, and organizational risks; analyze project
interdependencies; and implement mitigation or corrective action plans.
• Manage and coordinate resources, budget, vendors, personnel, and priorities
across multiple concurrent work streams.
• Facilitate collaboration among technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors,
information security personnel, and executive sponsors.
• Track deliverables, decisions, issues, risks, and action items to maintain program
momentum and transparency.
• Produce regular program reports and provide clear status updates,
recommendations, and decision points to department heads, directors, and
executive leadership.
Other considerations:
• Proven senior-level experience as an IT Program Manager leading complex,
cross-functional technology or information security programs.
• Demonstrated experience in at least one of the stated operational areas, with
the ability to coordinate across technical disciplines.
• Proficiency with current information security concepts, technologies, risk
management practices, and security program delivery methods.
• Experience with program governance, executive reporting, vendor
coordination, budgeting, schedule management, and risk/issue tracking.
• Familiarity with project and program management tools, collaboration
platforms, dashboards, and documentation practices.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management
skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and
executive leadership.
• Some remote work may be possible; in-person participation is preferred for
key meetings, planning sessions, and stakeholder engagement.
• Work experience in higher education is preferable
