Job description

Build the Path Forward

At Path Robotics, we're building the future of embodied intelligence. Our AI-driven systems enable robots to adapt, learn, and perform in the real world closing the skilled labor gap and transforming industries. We go beyond traditional methods, combining perception, reasoning, and control to deliver field-ready AI that is risk-aware, reliable, and continuously improving through real-world use.

Big, hard problems are our everyday work, and our team of intelligent, humble, and driven people make the impossible possible together.

The Data Farm Program Manager owns operational coordination between the Engineering team and the Data Farm, a high-throughput autonomous welding data generation environment, ensuring that welding Design of Experiments (DOEs) are executed accurately, on schedule, and on the correct welding cell(s), ensuring high experiment throughput, schedule adherence, and execution quality.

This is a program-level coordination role requiring a solid working knowledge of welding processes, strong cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent DOEs across as many as 8 dedicated welding cells. The Program Manager works closely with Data Farm supervisors and Engineering stakeholders to keep experiments on track and data quality high, proactively identifying execution risks, resolving scheduling conflicts, and escalating blockers to maintain DOE throughput.

What You'll Do

DOE Coordination & Execution

  • Act as the operational lead, coordinating between Engineering and the Data Farm for all active and upcoming DOEs
  • Review DOE requirements with Engineering and translate them into prioritized, executable work plans for the Data Farm team
  • Ensure each DOE is assigned to the appropriate welding cell based on process requirements, fixturing, and cell capability
  • Verify that experimental weld execution conforms to DOE specifications and flag any deviations immediately
  • Monitor DOE progress from initiation through completion, proactively identifying execution risks, resolving scheduling conflicts, and escalating blockers to maintain DOE throughput and data quality.

Scheduling & Prioritization

  • Maintain and continuously adjust the integrated DOE schedule across all welding cells to support Engineering priorities and maximize throughput
  • Coordinate with Data Farm supervisors to prioritize cell allocation based on Engineering priorities, process requirements, and operational constraints
  • Proactively identify scheduling risks, resource bottlenecks, and execution dependencies before they impact Engineering deliverables or experiment throughput
  • Provide timely schedule updates, execution status, and operational risk visibility to Engineering and Data Farm leadership

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate operational tracking of DOE schedules, cell assignments, weld parameters, and execution status
  • Generate recurring operational status reports summarizing DOE throughput, schedule adherence, execution risks, and pipeline health
  • Ensure experimental weld data and associated execution records are captured and organized according to Engineering's requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring scheduling inefficiencies, execution bottlenecks, and process gaps impacting DOE throughput or data quality

Model Training Sales Coordination

  • Own the operational transition from Sales to the Data Farm for sold model training engagements, ensuring customer requirements, training objectives, timelines, and execution constraints are clearly communicated
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers during the model training phase, providing proactive communication on training progress, milestones, risks, and schedule alignment
  • Track training milestones against contractual commitments and proactively communicate any risks or delays to both the customer and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate prioritization and resource allocation between customer-funded model training programs and internal DOE activity
  • Ensure a smooth high-quality customer experience through disciplined execution, transparent communication, and reliable delivery performance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop effective working relationships with Engineering, Data Farm supervisors, and cell operators
  • Contribute operational input during DOE planning meetings with Engineering to ensure Data Farm capacity and constraints are represented
  • Serve as the operational representative for the Data Farm in cross-functional discussions, surfacing execution constraints, throughput impacts, and cell-level realities that may affect experiment design or scheduling

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, welding, research & development, or test environment with responsibility for operational coordination or execution management
  • Working knowledge of welding processes and terminology - must be able to read, interpret, and communicate welding parameters. procedures, and specifications
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex operational programs, engineering programs or experimental execution activities across multiple teams
  • Strong operational and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively bridge engineering and operations teams
  • Proficiency with scheduling, operational tracking, and program management tools, including spreadsheets and manufacturing execution systems

Preferred

  • Experience in a robotic welding or automated manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology
  • Background supporting data collection, experimental validation, od AI/model training operations in an R&D environment
  • Experience working with ERP, MES, or data logging systems

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Daily free lunch to keep you fueled and connected with the team
  • Flexible PTO so you can take the time you need, when you need it
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 6 weeks fully paid parental leave, plus an additional 6-8 weeks for birthing parents (12-14 weeks total)
  • 401(k) retirement plan through Empower
  • Generous employee referral bonuses-help us grow our team!
