JOB TITLE: COMMUNITY IMPACT PROGRAM MANAGER
REPORTS TO: Director of Community Impact
STATUS: Full time, Exempt
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Manage and coordinate Hunger Coalition programs while supporting the Housing Task Force in advancing impact efforts and achieving results.
DUTIES LISTED BY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff teamwork: Coordinate coalition work or special projects/events and support Community Impact initiatives. Develop individual work plans to achieve goals and communicate progress with the Director of Community Impact.
Collective Impact: Convene groups to collaborate on shared goals.
· Manage, coordinate and support Hunger Coalition programs, the Housing Task Force, and special projects. This includes efforts such as Mobile Markets, the Farm to Family Produce Program, and community garden.
· Manage volunteers and assist in the recruitment and process for training volunteers that lead to collective success.
· Develop coalition work plans and subcommittee structure as appropriate.
· Assist in identifying and applying for grants to obtain resources to further advance Community Impact initiatives.
· Maintain professional and effective partnerships with volunteers, vendors, community partners, stakeholders, and funded partners.
· Lead or serve on United Way or community committees that align with Community Impact priorities.
· Ensure United Way’s role is understood and promoted to enhance our brand image, coalition and community partnerships.
United Way Investments: Support United Way’s investment process to achieve results.
· Assist in developing and preparing support materials for the investment process.
· Assist in ensuring appropriate organizations have knowledge and the information they need to apply or partner with United Way on our work.
· Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting group training, meetings, or individual technical assistance sessions for potential or funded partners.
Issue knowledge: Stay informed of best practices, data, and community resources.
· Be knowledgeable of data, services and gaps that exist in the community as they relate to United Way’s mission and Bold Goal.
· Assist in establishing appropriate outcome measurements.
Support United Way of Marathon County: Understand and participate in the engagement of donors, fundraising, messaging, and increasing awareness of issues.
· Work effectively across departments within United Way to advance the organization’s mission and Bold Goal.
· As part of a team, contribute and be committed to continuous improvement to ensure processes and programs are efficient and remain relevant.
· Support the budget process, understand program budgets, and ability to monitor and update and stay within budget.
· Participate in public speaking as appropriate.
· Ensure United Way’s Community Impact message is incorporated into the organization’s marketing and communication strategies.
· Utilize shared systems for maintaining data, documents, volunteer information, communications, and calendars.
· Manage and input data for dashboard results that include volunteer hours, event attendance, in-kind donations, and impact outcomes.
· Be open to change and involve in strategic planning processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· At least three years of experience in project or volunteer management.
· Bachelor's degree preferred but not required depending on qualifications.
· Proficient in using computers, Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel).
· Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable making decisions.
· Ability and willingness to learn new software applications, maintain data, and develop reports and communications.
· Ability and willingness to operate food warehouse equipment such as floor jacks, industrial scales, a box truck, etc.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
· Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy, reliability, and timeliness.
· Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and as part of a diverse and high-functioning team including volunteers and partners with limited supervision.
· Ability to perform manual labor including but not limited to lifting, standing for long periods of time, loading and unloading products, and working in the garden.
· Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, and Thanksgiving Day.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
