Job description

As a Sr. HSE Engineer at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing sustainability strategy for the Electronic Materials (ESM) business. This role is intended for an experienced, mid-career professional who can translate demanding customer requirements, evolving regulatory expectations, and business priorities into disciplined, data-driven action across the organization.

You will work across sustainability, product stewardship, R&D, plant operations, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams to improve the quality, consistency, and usability of environmental data and disclosures. The role requires strong operational understanding of manufacturing processes, emissions sources, mass and energy balances, and abatement opportunities, as well as the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets to support customer commitments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sustainability strategy and roadmaps for ESM manufacturing sites, with clear priorities, milestones, and measurable outcomes
  • Lead customer engagement on sustainability requirements, disclosures, audits, and technical data requests for strategic accounts
  • Translate regulatory, customer, and market requirements into business, reporting, and operational roadmaps
  • Lead cross-functional sustainability programs across operations, engineering, and commercial teams
  • Provide executive updates and decision support, clearly communicating risks, tradeoffs, and performance trends
  • Drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance, data governance, and reporting, including KPI development, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Analyze plant sustainability and operational data to identify emissions, efficiency, and process optimization opportunities and convert findings into improvement plans
  • Establish data quality, validation, and documentation practices to support customer disclosures, internal reporting, and audit readiness
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience in sustainability, engineering, manufacturing, operations, LCA, or related technical fields
  • Proven success leading complex cross-functional programs and influencing technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, customer disclosure requirements, and relevant US and international regulations
  • Advanced degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, sustainability, or a related technical field
  • Experience in lifecycle assessment (ISO 14040/44/67), sustainability reporting, and customer- or product-level environmental disclosures
  • Strong data analytics skills, including work with large, imperfect datasets, KPI development, trend analysis, and translating results into operational recommendations
  • Practical understanding of plant operations, process engineering, emissions sources, utilities, and manufacturing drivers to engage credibly with site and engineering teams

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary range for this position is $92,000k - $115,000k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
