The Program Director, Clinical Analytics reports to the Chief Medical Information Officer with critical peer matrixed relationships to the Director of Business Analytics and the Managers of Data Architecture and Epic Reporting. The Program Director, Clinical Analytics plays a pivotal role in our healthcare organization and is the leader responsible for coalescing a team of analytics experts to transform clinical data into actionable insights. This position is essential for optimizing patient care, improving healthcare outcomes, and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization.


Responsibilities

Program Management: Drive a complex and diverse set of projects that comprise the data analytics platform from multiple data sources towards an array of clinical stakeholders.


Data Strategy: Partner with the Manager of Data Architecture to ensure a comprehensive clinical data strategy, including data acquisition, storage, and analysis, to support the organization's clinical goals.


Analytics Development: Oversee the development of advanced predictive analytics models and algorithms to extract meaningful insights from clinical data, such as patient outcomes, treatment efficacy, and healthcare utilization.


Prescriptive Guidance: Lead the development of prescriptive tools to optimize patient outcomes while minimizing provider interruptions.


Collaboration: Collaborate with clinical teams, IT, and other stakeholders to integrate data analytics into clinical workflows and decision-making processes.


Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, while managing clinical data. Collaborate in the development of data governance policy in the clinical space.


Reporting and Visualization: Create and present clear and actionable reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate clinical insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization consistent with VHS KPIs and clinical goals.


Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization in clinical analytics processes.


Education
Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Informatics, Data Science, or Healthcare Administration) required
Experience
Experience in project management required


Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred


Clinical background experience preferred


Leadership experience strongly preferred
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of healthcare data sources, standards, and regulations.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
