Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Datadog and Performance Capacity Management (PCM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for building monitoring dashboards, analyzing application and business performance data, identifying trends, supporting capacity planning, and delivering actionable insights to improve system reliability and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Datadog dashboards, monitors, alerts, and APM solutions.
  • Analyze application, infrastructure, and business performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Perform performance and capacity analysis using Performance Capacity Management (PCM) methodologies.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports for business and technical stakeholders.
  • Support root cause analysis using Datadog logs, traces, and APM.
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system health, performance, and capacity utilization.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to define KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs.
  • Translate technical monitoring data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain documentation for monitoring standards, reporting processes, and capacity management.
  • Recommend process improvements based on data-driven analysis.

Required Skills
  • 8-12 years of experience as a Data Analytics Engineer, Performance Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Datadog (Dashboards, Monitoring, APM, Log Management, Alerting).
  • Experience with Performance Capacity Management (PCM) and Capacity Planning.
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience analyzing system performance and business metrics.
  • Knowledge of KPI, SLA, and SLO monitoring.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and Business teams.

Preferred Skills
  • Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP monitoring experience.
  • Python or R for data analysis and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of ITIL / IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Datadog or ITIL certification is a plus.

Qualifications
