About the role

As a Business Intelligence Analyst within the Agency Administration division of COUNTRY Financial, you will assist with building and maintaining optimized data foundations that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting. On this highly collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of efforts to establish Agency program structures, monitor program health, and provide insightful reporting to help drive the organization forward. The role is responsible for maintenance, improvement, and reporting of the data we own and work with. Drives business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision makers. Collects, aggregates and analyzes data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into business performance. Uses analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts of potential costs, risk and profits of new initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong data analysis skills including ability to rapidly learn new data assets.
  • Knowledge of COUNTRY differentiated data assets and technology delivery platforms or equivalent industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with data tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Hadoop/Hive environment
  • Proficiency with analysis and output verification techniques
  • Familiarity with relational database systems (SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, MS Access, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be a team player.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive, patient, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong operational, organizational, analytical, and technical skills.
How does this role make an impact?
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns and prepares ongoing reports and data visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards, heat maps) in order to support business decisions.
  • Designs and produces actionable reports that define, build and visualize key performance indicators (KPIs), display root cause analysis, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Synthesizes data to develop actionable insights and recommendations reflecting both an understanding of the data as well as an understanding of the underlying business process(es).
  • Uses visualization, storytelling and prescriptive insights with the data.
  • Designs, develops, tests and launches new data products and dashboards into production.
Do you have what we're looking for?

Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training. Insurance industry knowledge. Ability to extract and analyze data within both a traditional and big data environment. Data analytics and quantitative/qualitative reasoning. Experience creating and analyzing data visualizations for the purpose of generating insights. Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Python, Git, data storytelling and forecasting. Computer proficiency including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, database technology, analytics and business intelligence. Good project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize efficiently, establish priorities and attend to details. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various functional areas.

Base Pay Range: $94,400-$129,800

Incentive Pay: In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
