POSITION SUMMARY

The Supervisor, AI & Data Analytics is responsible for leading and developing a centralized team of analysts supporting trading, energy, terminals, logistics, manufacturing, finance, and corporate functions across BioUrja Group through data analytics, business intelligence, AI, and process automation initiatives. This role combines advanced technical expertise, including artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and automation-with strong leadership. The Supervisor will oversee a team of approximately five analysts, driving high-quality analytical outputs, identifying opportunities for AI-driven efficiencies, and building scalable data solutions that support business decision-making across multiple functions and geographies. This position will report to the VP of IT Infrastructures & Security.


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a centralized team of analysts supporting BioUrja Group companies across multiple business functions and geographies.
  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and execution of analytics, reporting, AI, and automation initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where data analytics, artificial intelligence, and process automation can improve operational efficiency, profitability, and decision-making.
  • Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions, machine learning models, and intelligent automation tools that deliver measurable business value.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise reporting frameworks, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Develop scalable data models, workflows, and processes that improve data accessibility, consistency, and quality across the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and emerging technologies, providing guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained across all analytics and AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, finance, trading, logistics, and other business teams to deliver cross-functional data and AI solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and vendors, recommending solutions that align with organizational goals and technology strategy.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in areas including data analysis, dashboard development, AI solution design, automation, and advanced reporting.
  • Prepare and present executive-level insights, recommendations, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Establish best practices, standards, and governance processes for analytics, AI development, and automation initiatives.
  • Support strategic projects and special initiatives as assigned by leadership.


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred). 
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics or technical field.
  • Prior team leadership experience preferred. 
  • Advanced AI/ML knowledge. 
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Power BI or Tableau, Excel, and modern AI platforms including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and related LLM technologies.
  • Experience building AI-enabled workflows, automation, agents, or machine learning solutions preferred.
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Ability to translate technical insights into business value. 
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where analytics, AI, and automation can improve operational efficiency, profitability, and decision-making.

Success in this role will be measured by the team's ability to deliver actionable business insights, increase organizational adoption of AI solutions, improve operational efficiency through automation, and maintain high standards of data quality and governance.
