Job description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Analytics Project Manager to take ownership of our analytics project delivery and intake process. In this role, you will oversee the successful execution of projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Additionally, you will manage the intake process, aligning partner segment requests with strategic business goals and implementing a prioritization framework to ensure efficient resource allocation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Project Delivery:
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of analytics projects, ensuring completion within scope, on time, and to the desired quality standards.
    • Manage project workflows, including scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement, leveraging both agile and waterfall methodologies.
    • Ensure successful collaboration across cross-functional teams, including data engineering, business intelligence, and data science.
  • Intake and Prioritization:
    • Own and manage the intake process for analytics projects, working with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess feasibility, and prioritize tasks.
    • Implement and continuously improve prioritization frameworks to ensure critical projects are addressed first and resources are optimized.
    • Work with partner organizations to align project intake with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
    • Act as the primary liaison between analytics teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and updates.
    • Facilitate project meetings, providing regular progress updates and maintaining transparency on key deliverables.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the project delivery lifecycle.
    • Develop and maintain tools for tracking project status, capacity, and performance metrics.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in progressive business intelligence analytics, including designing, building, and implementing IT-based business solutions.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in project management, analytics operations, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in managing intake processes and implementing effective prioritization frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt to different project management styles.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage executives.
  • Skilled at bridging the gap between user needs, business objectives, and technical details, while collaborating with engineers, developers, insights analysts, and data scientists.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, driven by the ability to satisfy internal customer needs.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes that solve user challenges and enhance overall experience.
  • Strategic and tactical thinker, able to navigate ambiguity, identify key opportunities, and align long-term goals with detailed, iterative execution.

Educational Requirements:
