Position Overview


RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics Specialist in Stennis, Mississippi. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Support organization‑wide data analytics initiatives, including BI platform development, data conversion, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) monitoring, and generation of internal/external reports
  • Contribute to project management efforts
  • Support Knowledge Management (KM) by helping plan, develop, and implement KM initiatives and by managing KM projects to completion
  • Promote knowledge sharing, improving processes and organizational performance
  • Provide analytical and technical expertise for organizational studies, process evaluations, workflow simplification, and development of efficient operational procedures
  • Empower business functions with analytics, BI insights, and data‑driven solutions
  • Assist in defining BI strategies, KPI development, and reporting direction
  • Support BI project development, integration, and reporting
  • Contribute to analytics and data‑integration efforts and maintain multiple business application systems and reporting tools
  • Support the design and implementation of web apps, tools, forms, workflows, relational databases, and Tableau dashboards
  • Coordinate multiple continuous‑improvement projects, track progress, build dashboards, and support social media infrastructure projects
  • Identify technology innovation opportunities and provide recommendations for improved project delivery
  • Deliver technical expertise for BI dashboards and work cross‑functionally to produce high‑impact analytics
  • Assist with forecasting and developing analyses for planning purposes
  • Performs travel and driving duties as necessary to support operational and contractual requirements
  • Prepare and present briefings, reports, and recommendations to leadership at various organizational levels


Required Qualifications and Experience


  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Valid driver’s license and obtain/maintain any required certifications
  • Strong work ethic with excellent English communication skills (Spanish required for some roles)
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position which may include walking, standing, bending and moving materials throughout the workday in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work non‑standard schedules (nights/weekends as needed)
  • Ability to write professional correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Ability to comply with all cybersecurity and IT policies
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct and follow all applicable regulations

  • Eight years’ experience with project management or business intelligence and data analytics with no degree or six years’ experience with project management or business intelligence and data analytics with a degree from a U.S. accredited college in either education, engineering, or instructional development
  • Six years’ experience working with and supporting business and/or technology users in the area of business intelligence, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics
  • Three years’ experience leveraging multiple technology platforms, such as Excel, Access, Tableau, and other software/databases to support program strategies and recommend solutions that meet business goals
  • Three years’ experience of advanced data visualization and reporting proficiency with standard Business Intelligence applications (Tableau)
  • Two years’ experience in analyzing high volumes of data for multiple purposes in a dynamic environment
  • Three years’ experience with designing and/or producing analytic-based reports
  • Three years’ experience with finance strategy, analysis, and forecasting
  • Three years’ experience with designing and implementing information technology process solutions on enterprise platforms
