Job description

Job/What You’ll Do

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Cash Analytics and Operations to support analytics, portfolio management, risk mitigation, and the day-to‑day business activities required to deliver strong cash solutions for clients. The Senior Manager, Cash Analytics and Operations, will provide analysis and recommendations to support cash portfolio and liquidity decisions, coordinate legal and operational activities, and assist with key bank and vendor relationships. The Senior Manager, Cash Analytics and Operations will work closely with Finance, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Power BI, and Marketing to execute priorities and support measurable business outcomes.

Work arrangement

Full‑time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide analytics and recommendations to support leaders as they set the strategic direction, priorities, and roadmap for AssetMark’s cash management programs and services.
  • Support ongoing management of the cash sweep portfolio across fixed‑rate term solutions, liquidity positioning, funding forecasts, initial allocations, rebalancing, maturity planning, and rate strategy.
  • Coordinate funding and placement discussions with bank partners and execute approved funding and defunding activity, liquidity actions, and related cross‑functional follow‑up.
  • Prepare materials for the Pricing Committee, Monthly Portfolio Review, and Cash Strategy leadership updates, including performance metrics, initiative status, material risks, items requiring decisions, leadership feedback, and final distribution.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and analyses covering balances, rates, spreads, profitability, adoption, pipeline, retention, redemptions, liquidity, and other key performance indicators.
  • Conduct financial modeling and ad hoc quantitative analysis to evaluate strategic initiatives, client behavior, pricing decisions, portfolio scenarios, and business cases.
  • Translate large and complex data sets into concise recommendations, executive presentations, and action tracking for senior leaders and cross‑functional partners.
  • Provide operational support for account opening, wires, and related cash movements.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and convert findings into sound business decisions; advanced Excel skills are required. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to develop clear executive narratives, recommendations, and decision‑ready materials. Proactive, collaborative, and strategic approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast‑paced environment.

Education & Experience

5+ years of relevant experience in cash or treasury management, portfolio analytics, product management, banking, finance, consulting, or financial‑services operations. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; an MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus. Knowledge of cash products and RIA and broker‑dealer distribution channels, with experience in bank or vendor management, operational controls, risk management, or cross‑functional legal and compliance work, preferred.

Compensation

The Base Salary range for this position is between $127,000-$155,000. This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
