What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Data Analytics Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Data Analytics Manager, you need strong analytical skills, expertise in statistical methods, and a background in data science or a related field, often supported by a bachelor's or master's degree. Proficiency with data visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power BI), SQL, and analytics platforms like Python or R is typically required, along with experience in managing data projects. Leadership, strategic thinking, and effective communication are important soft skills for leading teams and translating data insights into actionable business strategies. What's the role?

As a Manager, Advanced Analytics & BI for the Customer Value Management (CVM) team you will be the cornerstone of our data-driven strategy within the B2C department. You will transform raw data into actionable insights to optimize the customer lifecycle, increase Customer Lifetime Value, and minimize churn. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in SQL and programming, a deep understanding of telecommunications market and KPIs, and the ability to challenge the status quo through advanced analytics. You will bridge the gap between complex data sets and executive decision-making, ensuring that every CVM campaign is backed by solid evidence and predictive modeling

  • KPI Tracking & Performance Monitoring: Ownership of key metrics such as Churn, ARPU, and volumes, explaining the "why" behind the trends.
  • Advanced Data Extraction: Utilize SQL and other programming languages to query complex databases, ensuring data integrity for all analyses.
  • Predictive Modeling & Segmentation: Work with propensity models, e.g. churn risk, up-sell/cross-sell likelihood, and advanced customer segmentations to personalize campaign targeting.
  • Target Setting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the Sr. Director of CBM to establish monthly targets and provide data-driven forecasts for base evolution.
  • Experimental Design A/B Testing: Define control groups and lead the measurement of campaign uplift, ensuring statistically significant results and ROI analysis.
  • Actionable Insight Generation: Proactively identify patterns, opportunities and revenue leakages within the base to drive NBAs strategies.
  • Data Governance: Work closely with the BI team to improve data architecture and ensure the availability of high-quality data for the CBM team.
  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
  • Other functions may be assigned.

Supervisor role:

Directly supervise and provide mentorship to a group of employees in the CVM Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What do you need?
