ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's growing Raleigh, NC team is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our Transportation Safety team for Summer 2026.ย Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and interprets data. ย 
    • Uses spreadsheets and visualization tools to process and analyze data. ย 
    • Uses and supports database applications and analytical tools. ย 
    • Creates basic software programs to process and analyze data. ย 
    • Prepares data analysis in report and in presentation format. ย 
    • Clearly communicates the conclusions of data analysis.ย 
  • Troubleshoots problems with data systems and communicates with end users to evaluate the problem or need and deliver the resolution. ย 
    • Communicates regularly and effectively with team members and management. ย 
    • Develops awareness of the industry and the daily work of end users and customers. ย 
    • Works with management and/or end users to develop and understand product specifications. ย 
    • Documents and evaluates business systems and processes. ย 
    • Escalates more complex problems to teammates. ย 
  • Completes routine data and system configuration tasksย 
    • Completes routine data quality tasksย 
    • Imports and exports data to fulfill data requestsย 
    • Completes routine business system configuration and maintenance tasks ย 
  • Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures.ย
