JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Intern will assist the sales team in prospecting potential customers, lead generation, and market research. This role offers hands-on experience in sales operations, customer outreach, product demonstrations, and sales strategy development. Interns will shadow experienced sales professionals, learn sales techniques, and contribute to meaningful projects impacting Merrill Manufacturing’s bottom line.


WORK RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Assist the sales team in prospecting potential customers and lead generation.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and target audience preferences.
  • Participate in customer outreach and product demonstrations.
  • Assist in creating sales materials and presentations.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Shadow experienced sales professionals and learn sales techniques.
  • Assist in data analysis to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development activities.
  • Learn to use ERP/CRM systems to help manage sales processes and track opportunities.
  • Build and maintain customer relations through various channels (phone, email, online chat, in person).
  • Contribute to troubleshooting assistance and recommend solutions that best suit customer needs.
  • Accept and implement coaching and feedback to achieve individual and team performance goals.
  • Collaborate with other sales or marketing representatives to understand product and communication needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.



Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a sophomore or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
