Job description

Internship Overview
As a Data Analytics Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will gain hands on experience within a diverse organization to help drive business needs. This opportunity will analyze trends, create reports, and support various projects while working closely with other analyst team members. The position will be based at our Alden, Iowa headquarters.
Responsibilities
  • Assist business units by creating, updating and analyzing financial models on a wide variety of private equity investments across the agriculture industry, both domestically and internationally.
  • Create written and verbal research reports detailing findings from topics assigned. Specific subjects will likely include trend analysis in both the United States and Brazilian agriculture industries.
  • Aid in presentation preparation for various internal and external audiences. Update and further analyze data and reports used to track agricultural trends and pricing.
  • Manage special projects as needed.
  • Deliver a final presentation to Summit's management team summarizing experiences, results, and accomplishments from the internship.

Requirements
  • Sophomore or above studying agricultural business, economics, finance or accounting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment.
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently.
