Jockey is seeking an Associate Analytics Engineer to join our Enterprise Analytics Team!

The Associate Analytics Engineer provides clean data sets to end users, modeling data that enables end users to answer their data questions. This role is responsible for transforming, testing, deploying, and documenting data within the data lake. The engineer will apply software engineering best practices such as version control and continuous integration to the analytics code base. This role is expected to collaborate with business users, analysts, and other engineering resources to build out enhanced data capabilities that drive improved business outcomes.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

  • Work within data science, core platform engineering, to develop data pipelines in SQL and python that acquire, process, and deliver data to end users across Jockey.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reporting, and self-service analytical tools using platforms such as Tableau or Sigma
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders, such as, data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, and business users to understand data use cases and requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across reporting and analytical environments
  • Expand our data warehouse with clean data, ready for analysis or downstream ML use cases.
  • Optimize SQL queries to ensure optimal performance and adherence to data governance and quality standards.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Continuously learn and apply new analytical tools, technologies, and business knowledge
  • Support ongoing improvements to reporting processes, analytical capabilities, and data architecture
  • Other job duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Internship, academic project, or professional experience involving data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience querying and analyzing data
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Sigma, Power BI or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and an active problem solver
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Information Systems or a related quantitative field
  • Exposure to dbt or other modern data transformation frameworks
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar technologies
  • Experience with data modeling, reporting, or statistical analysis through coursework, internships, or prior work experience
  • Experience working with supply chain, retail, apparel, consumer goods, or manufacturing data
