Strategic Analyst in the Director's Action Group

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes in the first year on the position:
• This position provides analytic and consultation services through the Director's Action Group (DAG) to the HQ Space Force's Director of Staff (HQSF/DS) in development and execution of Space Force vision, mission and objectives. The incumbent researches, analyzes, develops and implements strategic plans that align with the organization's vision, mission, priorities and objectives. The incumbent ensures effective execution by coordinating with various departments and teams, monitoring progress of initiatives and projects, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies, maintaining clear and consistent communication. This role requires exceptional analytical capabilities, advanced stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate independently in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Headquarters United States Space Force (HQ USSF) and the Director of Staff (HQSF/DS) require assistance in organizational planning, implementation, maturation, and strengthening of the HQ Space Force. To further develop HQ USSF, the Director's Action Group (DAG) plans, integrates, and manages strategic initiatives and special projects for the Director of Staff. The Administrative Consultant will support these efforts by performing the following functions:
• Generate reports, briefings, and papers by consolidating and integrating responses to strategic initiatives, meetings and projects from across the Space Staff and subordinate units.
• Provide input to and management of digital dashboards, TEAMS channels, SharePoint, and other products.
• Provide administrative support and services to the Director of the Director's Action Group.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in strategic operations, executive support, or management consulting, preferably supporting Air and/or Space Force operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-stakes, fast-paced headquarters staff environments requiring independent decision-making and minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Experience with Air and/or Space Force operations, federal government operations, congressional relations, or regulatory compliance required.

Core Competencies
  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize complex information for executive consumption.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience presenting to C-suite or equivalent leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in organizational development, change management, and business process design.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics, performance measurement, dashboard development.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to coordinate multiple concurrent high-priority initiatives.

Technical Skills
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TEAMS, database management, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with federal tasker tracking systems (ETMS2/TMT) or equivalent enterprise management platforms.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with advanced Excel, data visualization, and presentation skills.
