Our internal firm services team focuses on the firm's critical business needs. From marketing to internal accounting and everything in between, our integrated solution approach is designed to help enable and manage growth, leverage resources, andoptimize firm operations. At Plante Moran, we have the privilege of serving clients and providing consultative services as they face challenges and seek new opportunities.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Key resource to build and support financial and key data from the various financial systems used in Internal Accounting and across the firm.
    • Troubleshoot and enhance current published reports
    • Build and create reporting in various systems including Workday, Power BI and Adaptive Planning
    • Be able to intake report requests and find the best data and solution to fulfill the request.
    • Assisting with Helpdesk reporting items and escalating issues appropriately
    • Running assigned and ad hoc data requests and analysis
  • Data Analysis and Investigation
    • Use different tools such as SSMS (SQL), Power BI, Excel, Alteryx and internal applications to investigate, transform or analyze data
    • Data analysis and cleansing
    • Business process reviews, creation and investigation using various MS Power apps.
  • Analytical abilities required:
    • Understand internal processes and terminology
    • Creative, critical thinking, and problem solving
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Cross functional communication to interpret requests into deliverables.

The qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting with report writing experience is required
  • Strong aptitude to data analysis required
  • Report writing experience required
  • Familiarity with databases preferred
  • Advanced Excel/VBA skills preferred
  • Accounting/financial reporting and analysis experience preferred
  • Collaborative project experience being part of a team or leading the project.
  • Workday experience preferred

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $70,000.00-$100,000.00
