Implements changes to and maintains Common Data Models (CDMs) for a variety of research purposes across the department. Job Duties:
- 35% Data analyst tasks working on developing SQL for research data requests (serving as a data honest broker), which include developing and running queries and reports and verifying results for research projects.
- 30% ETL Development: Evaluate ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools/solutions as database sizes grow to include more data and different data types. Maintain, modify existing, and/or develop new ETL to support our projects.
- 15% Prepare reports for research colleagues, leadership, scientific publications and presentation.
- 10% Gathering data requirements for new and existing funded studies and working with various data owners to determine sources of needed data.
- 10% Work with other team members and project managers as needed through meetings and collaborative programming to ensure that the assigned tasks are accomplished in a timely manner.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and three years work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, or the testing and debugging of system software. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
