Description
Subject Matter Expert (SME) 5 - Data Architect (Key)
Position Summary
Serves as the senior authority for enterprise data architecture, responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data structures, data warehouses, and metadata frameworks to support mission-critical systems and analytics.
Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architectures, including relational and dimensional databases.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse strategies, blueprints, and metadata repositories to support data governance and accessibility.
• Define data acquisition, archival, and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and continuity.
• Perform data access analysis, modeling, and optimization for performance and scalability.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software platforms for data management solutions.
• Integrate disparate systems and ensure seamless data interoperability across environments.
• Develop and review logical and physical data models to improve data structure and usability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and database teams.
Qualifications
• Technical training in Data Design, Database Architecture, or Metadata Management Platforms.
• Minimum of 18 years of experience architecting IT software and data solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least three areas: data warehousing, database design, metadata management, system integration, and data modeling.
