Job description

▶︎ Job Details:
• Job Title: Order & Inventory Analyst  
• Client: Japanese Automotive 
• Working Location: Farmington Hills, MI
• Working style: Hybrid
• Employment Type: Permanent/Full-time

▶︎ What will you do:
・Process customer orders received via EDI, email, or internal requests, and create sales orders, invoices, and shipping documents
・Coordinate shipments (air, courier, FedEx/UPS/DHL), arrange pickups, and communicate with warehouses, freight forwarders, and suppliers
・Send ASN to customers and manage end-to-end order fulfillment and delivery schedules
・Maintain and update inventory systems (Phreebooks/ERP/WMS), including inbound/outbound data and inventory matrices
・Monitor inventory levels based on forecasts, reconcile system discrepancies, and perform inventory valuation and order balance checks
・Support EDI/ERP system maintenance, improvements, and new warehouse system integrations
・Prepare order planning matrices and delivery plans using forecasts, historical data, and market information
・Handle returns, special shipments, and inventory management for prototype and service parts
・Create SOPs, barcode labels, and ensure compliance with shipping and logistics standards
・Conduct cost analysis and drive continuous improvement in logistics and inventory processes
・Support ISO9001, IATF16949, and CTPAT compliance activities
・Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure smooth operations
・Participate in special projects and perform other assigned tasks related to order and inventory control
 

▶︎ Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business/economics or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
・2+ years of experience in order management, logistics, inventory control, or supply chain operations
・Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and resolve issues
・Solid understanding of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain processes
・Knowledge of international trade, customs procedures, and Incoterms
・Experience with ERP/EDI systems and data management tools (e.g., Phreebooks)
・Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
・Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
・Strong communication skills (technical and business level)
・Proficiency with standard office software and reporting tools
・Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
・English and Japanese proficiency required (Japanese native or near-native preferred)
