Job description

Citi is looking for a Senior Data & Analytics Lead (Data Science Senior Lead Analyst - C14) to spearhead high-impact programs within Citi's broader Data Transformation efforts, driving strategic change across one of the world's leading financial institutions. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of data science, program leadership, and senior stakeholder engagement, generating insight from complex data ecosystems, converting that insight into strategy, and owning the end-to-end execution of that strategy through day-to-day delivery at scale. This is a rare opportunity to drive cross-functional engagement across Citi's Business, Function, and Technology units, bringing cohesive, data-driven strategy to the forefront in the management of complex programs at scale.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex, large-scale Data Transformation programs end-to-end, from strategic analysis through to day-to-day delivery execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Generate actionable insights from high-volume banking data sets and translate those insights into clear strategy, then drive the mobilization of resources to execute that strategy at scale.
  • Negotiate timelines, scope, and delivery approach with senior-level stakeholders, securing alignment and maintaining delivery momentum across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage a broad and varied book of work across multiple stakeholder groups, maintaining clear prioritization and consistent progress against program objectives.
  • Identify thematic program issues at scale and develop structured, repeatable approaches to resolve them systematically across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Maintain continuous feedback loops across delivery teams, applying lessons learned to sharpen execution and improve program performance over time.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve program delivery risks, ensuring issues are surfaced early and mitigated with clear ownership and follow-through.
  • Bridge the communication gap between business leaders and technology teams, translating complex analytical findings into clear, impactful narratives for diverse audiences.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • 10 or more years of experience applying statistical modelling and advanced analytical tools to large, complex data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate strategic insight from data, develop an execution strategy, and lead teams to deliver against it at program scale.
  • Skilled at managing a broad and varied portfolio of work across multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously, maintaining clarity and delivery focus.
  • Capable of operating at both the strategic level and in granular detail, with strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in proactively identifying, escalating, and resolving risks and issues throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; a master's degree is an advantage.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies or formal project management practices.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data lineage concepts, or metadata management within a financial services context.
  • Exposure to banking platforms and an understanding of how data flows across complex financial systems.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, giving you flexibility to perform at your best.
  • Strategic influence at a senior level, with the opportunity to shape data programs that have direct and measurable impact on the business.
  • Access to Citi's global network and the breadth of a world-leading financial institution, offering unmatched professional exposure.
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities to deepen both your technical expertise and leadership capability.
  • Competitive compensation and financial wellbeing benefits designed to recognize and reward senior-level contribution.
