Job description

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we’ve tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it’s supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we’re not just here to move money— we’re here to move our global customers forward.

We’re looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that’s you and you’re ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role

As a Product Analyst on the New Products team, you will play a pivotal role in building the next generation of financial products for Remitly customers. Our New Products team sits within Remitly’s Consumer Financial Services (CFS) organization, focused on incubating innovative ideas into products which deliver value to our customers - spanning lending, payments, and more. Your mission is to bring data‑driven rigor to early‑stage product bets: building business cases, segmenting customers, and helping the team make fast decisions with imperfect information. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners across Product, Engineering, and Design to define success metrics, validate hypotheses, and uncover the opportunities that shape what we build next. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, a bias for action, and an AI‑first mindset - using modern tools to do more, faster, across multiple workstreams at once. This role reports to our Principal Product Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Build business models and financial frameworks to evaluate new product bets, including total addressable market sizing, unit economics, and NPV analysis.
  • Perform customer segmentation using behavioral and transactional data to identify underserved customer groups, validate product‑market fit signals, and inform go‑to‑market strategy.
  • Create and maintain datamarts, dashboards and metrics frameworks from scratch for new products, designing scalable data models that serve as the foundation for reporting, experimentation, and self‑serve analysis across the organization.
  • Implement data quality monitoring to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data powering product decisions - including anomaly detection and alerting on critical metric drift.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments, translating results into clear, actionable recommendations for product and leadership teams.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define success metrics, monitor post‑launch performance, and translate behavioral patterns and friction points into product improvements that shape feature decisions and customer journeys.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation to accelerate analysis, surface insights faster, and scale analytical output across multiple simultaneous workstreams.

This role requires comfort with ambiguity, a bias for action, and an AI‑first mindset - using modern tools to do more, faster, across multiple workstreams at once.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in a product analytics, business analytics, or related quantitative role, ideally within fintech, e‑commerce, or consumer financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, engineering, statistics, or another quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong SQL proficiency and hands‑on experience analyzing large datasets from multiple sources; Python or R experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and experience building or contributing to data pipelines that create reliable, analysis‑ready data sources; comfort working with data engineers to define schemas, transformations, and refresh cadences.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Mode, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Experience building business models or financial analyses for new or early‑stage products.
  • Hands‑on experience with customer segmentation using behavioral or transactional data.
  • An AI‑first mindset – you actively use AI tools in your day‑to‑day work and look for new ways to apply them to move faster.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make progress when the problem is not yet fully defined.
  • Excellent data storytelling skills; you translate complex findings into decisions, not just slides.
Compensation

The starting base salary range for this position is typically $132,000 - $148,500 gross per annum. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
