Position Overview

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Procurement Transportation Data Analyst supports the Transportation Category Manager by delivering data-driven insights, analytics, and reporting to enable effective transportation sourcing and procurement decisions. This role focuses on transportation rate governance, supplier performance analysis, sourcing event support, and reporting automation.

The analyst partners closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve transportation procurement processes, strengthen supplier performance, and identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities. The role also supports both strategic sourcing initiatives and ongoing operational analytics, using systems such as TMS, Coupa Sourcing Optimization (CSO), Power BI, SAP, and master data platforms.

Please note: this is a contract position with an expected end date of December 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

Category & Sourcing Support - Partner with the Transportation Category Manager to support execution of the transportation category strategy and sourcing roadmap. Provide analytical support for strategic sourcing initiatives and day-to-day transportation sourcing needs.

Rates, Contracts & Sourcing Events - Maintain transportation rate governance across carriers, modes, and contracts on TMS. Analyze transportation bids, rates, and cost scenarios; support negotiations and contract administration. Support regular RFP events using Coupa Sourcing Optimization (CSO).

Reporting & Analytics - Develop and deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and annual dashboards and performance reports. Provide ad hoc analysis to support sourcing decisions, supplier evaluations, and leadership requests. Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives

Power BI & Automation - Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models. Automate reporting and data refresh processes to reduce manual effort and improve data reliability. Ensure scalable, standardized reporting solutions across the transportation category. Escalate data integrity, performance, or risk issues through established governance channels.

Process Improvement & Systems - Identify gaps in transportation procurement and materials management processes. Recommend and support improvements across TMS (JDA preferred), SAP, and related systems. Support data consistency, master data governance, and process standardization initiatives.

Cost Savings & Supplier Performance - Support cost-savings identification through market analysis, rate benchmarking, and performance insights. Track savings, contract compliance, and supplier KPIs. Support supplier relationship management and performance reviews

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, procurement analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, SAP, TMS platforms, and sourcing/analytics tools (CSO preferred).
  • Working knowledge of transportation rate structures, sourcing processes, and master data management.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and interpret data to support data-driven decision making. must have shown strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to work onsite minimum 2 days per week
