Position Summary

We're looking for a strategic and hands‑on leader to establish and lead Welch's Data, Analytics, Automation & AI Center of Excellence (CoE). This role is ideal for a business‑minded leader who is passionate about turning data into insights, improving productivity through automation, and enabling responsible use of AI across the organization.

Reporting to the CFO, you will partner closely with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and other business leaders to build trusted data, modern analytics capabilities, and scalable automation solutions that drive measurable business value. As Welch's continues its ERP transformation and digital evolution, this role will play a key part in shaping how we leverage data and technology to make better decisions and improve performance.

Where You’ll Work

This role will be based out of our Waltham, MA headquarters, where you will be immersed in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.

Our company in‑office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration and relationship building while balancing flexibility and well‑being. Employees are in office three days per week, with Thursdays and Fridays as remote, flex days.

What You’ll Do Lead Welch's Data, Analytics, Automation & AI Strategy
  • Establish and lead the Data, Analytics, Automation & AI Center of Excellence.
  • Develop the roadmap, governance model, and priorities that enable trusted data, actionable insights, automation, and responsible AI across the enterprise.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities that drive growth, productivity, and better decision‑making.
Build Trusted Data & Reporting Capabilities
  • Establish data governance, stewardship, data quality, and reporting standards.
  • Define enterprise metrics and trusted sources of data to improve consistency and confidence in decision‑making.
  • Lead ERP data management, master data governance, and reporting capabilities as Welch's continues its digital transformation.
  • Enable self‑service analytics and trusted data products that empower teams to make better decisions.
Accelerate Automation & AI Adoption
  • Identify, prioritize, and scale automation and AI solutions that improve efficiency and business performance.
  • Establish responsible AI practices and enable adoption of emerging technologies across the organization.
  • Partner with teams to redesign processes and unlock new ways of working.
  • Build organizational capability through training, change management, and communities of practice that accelerate adoption of data, automation, and AI.
Deliver Business Value Through Enterprise Partnerships
  • Build strong partnerships across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and other functions.
  • Manage a portfolio of data, analytics, automation, and AI initiatives, measuring adoption and business impact.
  • Lead external partners and vendors while developing internal capabilities and a culture of data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team or partner network across data strategy, governance, master data, analytics, automation, and AI.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, automation, digital transformation, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence practices.
  • Working knowledge of AI, automation, and modern analytics tools and platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.
  • Experience with ERP transformations, master data management, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, food & beverage, agriculture, or supply chain‑intensive industries is a plus.

Compensation

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $200k to $220k annually for US‑based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the position across all US locations, is based on a full‑time work schedule, and represents Welch’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
