deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Radar Data Analyst in Huntsville, AL.Position Description:deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Radar Data Analyst or Systems Engineer to perform analyst functions including information gathering, data modeling, project testing, and creation of performance measurements to support project objectives.Position ResponsibilitiesCreates and maintains analytical tool sets, including verification and validation activitiesCaptures, develops, and documents some or all the following: data definitions, tool documentation, process procedures and data quality requirementsApplies analytic techniques in the evaluation of project objectives or contributes to the implementation of strategic directionMay write code and tools to preprocess, clean, and analyze dataApply data modeling and data virtualization principlesGenerally, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on data to generate insights and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classificationDevelop reports and deliverables for management and communicate with stakeholdersEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, science, or math.Experience Requirements:10+ years of related experienceData engineering experience working with large amounts of structured and unstructured dataKnowledge and/or experience in applying analytic methodologies and principlesWorking knowledge of DOD and Military sensors, including, but not limited to radar and EOIRWorking knowledge programming languages (C++, MATLAB, Python, or STK)Proficiency with Linux and WindowsAbility to communicate complex technical material to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Special Skills Desired:Experience with test operations & executionExperience with Single Integrated Air Picture metrics, track accuracy metrics, track filtering, or data association 2+ years programming experience in Python, Unix/Linux, C++, MATLAB, or STKExperience with Link-16, the Navy's Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) system , or the Army's Integrated Battle Command SystemProactive self-starter capable of finding and solving problems with little guidance, including learning new programming languages as required DoD Analyst backgroundApplicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance.
