Intelcom has set an ambitious target: achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. To achieve this, it is essential to implement projects that improve the reliability and quality of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations.

As a GHG Data intern at Intelcom, you will play a crucial role in helping us improve our methodologies and calculation tools to calculate our GHG emissions. You will alsoparticipatein review and improvement projects to increase the reliability and quality of our data. This position is data-intensive and requiresa high levelofproficiencyin Excel and GHG emissions calculation methodologies, with knowledge of PowerBIbeing a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, management, and analysis of data relating to Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions to support the annual GHG inventory process.

  • Contribute to the development of emission calculation methodologies.

  • Contribute to deploying tools and processes to quantify GHG emissions within the organization.

  • Use Power BI to prepare internal and external reports on GHG emissions, decarbonization progress, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Contribute to identifying opportunities to improve the accuracy of GHG data by collaborating with other teams.

  • Participate in the development of Intelcom's 2040 Decarbonization Roadmap

  • Theroleinvolvesdaily(orregular) communicationwithpan-Canadian stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Currentlypursuingadegreein dataanalytics, business intelligence,environmentalscience,sustainability, finance, or arelatedfield,withexperienceincalculatinggreenhousegasemissions(GHG)

  • Attention to detail and interest in developing effective data collection and analysis processes

  • Requirements: Excellentproficiencyin Excel and basicknowledgeofmethodsforcalculatingGHGemissionsanddevelopingcorporateinventories

  • Skills in data management, analysis, and visualization, particularly with Power BI, are an asset

  • Skills in Microsoft Power App are an asset

  • Skilsin coding are an asset
