Job description

The Assistant Planner provides crucial support to the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Buying and Planning teams, encompassing both e-commerce and retail stores. This role is essential for daily operational success, accurate reporting, and effective inventory management, building a foundational understanding of sales trends and planning processes.

Responsibilities:
Support the Director of Retail Planning with in-season business decks, ad hoc analysis, and data entry.
Own the end-to-end execution of weekly business reporting; accurately updating and distributing performance reports to the teams.
Learn and utilize planning tools and systems, including planning templates, weeks of supply (WOS) tracking, and forecast reporting.
Build a foundational understanding of inventory management principles, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) and sales trend analysis.
Collaborate with cross functional partners (Allocations, Buying, Ecommerce) to align on business goals and support growth through shared data analysis.
Assist with planning and forecasting of replenishment buys and related analyses.
Assist in quarterly hindsight recapping, focusing on insights related to key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, or Finance preferred.
Proven knowledge and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights for inventory and sales.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling data.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear collaboration with team members.
