Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Aircraft Maintenance Instructor will collaborate with the company's Subject Matter Experts (SME) to build regulatory and aircraft systems related learning content. This Instructor will also facilitate regulatory and aircraft systems courses based on instructor guides and evaluate existing course content to enhance the learner's experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Maximize the instructor-led (classroom) learning experience by developing, updating, and presenting objective based learning content for all current production models of Falcon aircraft.
Make recommendations for purchase of instructional materials, supplies, equipment, and ELearning.
Facilitate courses in a profession manner using established instructor guides as needed to maintain schedule.
Utilize established L&D processes to ensure learning content is compliant with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Falcon Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
Evaluate and provide constructive feedback during the peer evaluations process.
Coordinate with Flight Operations and Business Unit management of Engine Run and Taxi, Engine Run, and APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) qualified personnel including and coordinating with Dassault Approved vendors for all aircraft related maintenance training.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Aviation Technology/Maintenance. Completed, relevant education from an accredited college or university may be substituted for years of relevant work experience. 1 year of education = 2 years of experience.
Two (2) years of avionics maintenance or installation experience.
One (1) year of facilitating/teaching Instructor-led classes using instructor guides in a corporate/vocational or aviation environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and cordial manner through oral, written, and visual communications. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required to facilitate the learning experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products with intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; and advanced knowledge of PowerPoint.
Must be able to stand for lengthy periods of time, climb stairs and move about the production floor, other offices and on/off aircraft with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must able to attend out-of-town meetings and conventions by surface or air travel and maintain a flexible work schedule to support various shifts.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance
FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating
Completion of a CAE or Flight Safety Initial Maintenance course for one of Falcon's current production models
Familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS365, Blackboard, Canvas, SumTotal, Cornerstone, etc.)
Familiar with Graphics/Photo imaging/Video software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.).
Familiar with ELearning Authoring tool (Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline 3, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
Familiar with French language and business culture.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office Environment, working at a computer terminal for long periods. Production/Ramp Area - Conduct need assessments in hangars or other working environments with variable temperature ranges and noise levels.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The compensation for this position typically falls between $58,543.00 and $78,193.00 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime under FLSA guidelines. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
