Construction Project Coordinator - Wireless Infrastructure (DAS/Government Projects)
Pay Scale: $70,304 - $75,000/yr
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to support wireless infrastructure projects focused on DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), small cell deployments, and government-funded telecommunications construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, managing documentation and submittals, supporting project managers, and ensuring compliance with state and local agency requirements.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction project coordination, understands telecom infrastructure projects, and is highly organized when managing submittals, pay applications, permitting, and compliance documentation. Experience working with the State of California or other public agencies is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities for wireless construction projects including DAS, small cell, and tower deployments
  • Support Project Managers with scheduling, tracking milestones, and maintaining project timelines
  • Manage project documentation including:
    • RFIs
    • Submittals
    • Change orders
    • Closeout packages
    • Compliance documentation
  • Prepare, track, and process pay applications and accounts payable documentation for government/public works projects
  • Ensure all project files and documentation meet State of California and public agency compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, municipalities, utilities, and public agencies
  • Assist with permitting and inspection scheduling
  • Track project budgets, invoices, and material procurement
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks or delays
  • Maintain accurate reporting and project updates using project management software and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot
  • Support field teams and leadership with administrative and operational project needs
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in construction project coordination or project management support
  • Experience in wireless telecommunications construction, DAS, small cell, or tower projects
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and project workflows
  • Experience handling submittals, compliance documentation, and pay applications
  • Familiarity with public works or government-funded construction projects
  • Knowledge of State of California compliance and documentation requirements preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
