Responsibilities:

Every Silicon Valley Elite coach will assume all responsibility for growing our Cheer and Tumbling program into a successful competitive program. Private instructors must maintain a minimum of 2-4 hours of classes on a weekly basis or coach one All Star Team in order to teach privates.

-Must take full responsibility for communicating with the team and parents
-Must be able to teach a stunt, a dance, a cheer, a tumbling skill, etc. with complete confidence.
-Must be able to speak intelligently to young kids, high schoolers and adults alike with knowledge and confidence.
-Must be able to be a leader as well as a follower.
-Must be able to take charge in an instant and continue on with confidence and grace.
-Must be able to choreograph material as well as learn material quickly.
-Must be completely reliable and dedicated to the Silicon Valley Elite Staff
-Must be able to deal with difficult conversations and difficult situations.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a cheerleading coach or in a related role
-Must be knowledgeable in all areas of cheerleading and know what is going on in the cheer world.
- Knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunts, jumps, and choreography
- Experience working with students, preferably in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate cheerleaders
- Ability to manage behavior and enforce discipline in a positive manner
- Knowledge of physical education principles and child development
