As a dance coach, your responsibilities focus on teaching dance and monitoring your students’ performance. The qualifications you need to become a dance coach include dancing skills, and you may need certification to teach students of various ages and levels. Your duties include creating choreography for a team dance routine, demonstrating dance methods, explaining proper health and safety techniques, such as stretches and nutrition, and history of dance genres and styles. As an instructor, you may need to adapt your teaching based on your students’ needs. A dance coach can teach a class or provide individual lessons.
