Job description

The Minnetonka Middle School Dance Team is a new program designed for 7th-8th graders aspiring to dance on the high school team in the future. 


Season: November - January. Practices Wednesday & Thursday Evenings
The team will participate in 3-4 competitions on Saturdays in December and January.
Wages:
Stipend
Not medical or dental benefit eligible. 
Job Responsibilities:
1.    Provide leadership and guidance for all dance participants.
2.    Attend and coach practices, weekend competitions, and community events. 
3.    Organize, set-up, and ensure a safe practice or competition.
4.    Develop all participants to their full potential.
5.    Implement program philosophies, goals, policy and procedures.
6.    Ensure that all participants follow Minnetonka School District guidelines and code of conduct.
7.    Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
8.    Promote sportsmanship and respect for judges, teams, parents, fans, athletes, administrators and fellow competitors.  
Job Qualifications
1.    Prior experience in dance is required.
2.    Evidence of successful coaching experience; ability to teach fundamental skills.
3.    Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude
4.    Strong communication skills.
5.    Proven ability to work with students, parents, and staff.
6.    Commitment to program's high standards
7.    Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
