Job description

Braum's Dairy in Follett, Texas is looking to hire an experienced Dairy Farm Manager. Our wonderful farm manager is retiring after 25 years, therefore, we are in search of the right person who can manage and care for this Braum's A2 Dairy. As a fourth-generation family-owned dairy farm, we have been in the dairy business since the 1930's. We have always maintained a reputation for the highest quality milk and dairy products. This is the smallest of our dairy farms, and we milk approximately 4,500 milking cows. This milk contributes to the supply for our 330 Ice Cream and Dairy Stores. This position works with the owners and the management team in overseeing dairy herd health, feeding and treatment of animals, cleaning and maintenance of animal quarters, equipment maintenance and other animal husbandry duties. Pay range is $110,000-$130,000. Compensation is highly competitive and is based on experience. Housing with utilities is provided as part of the compensation package. Additional benefits include: If needed, relocation allowance is provided Transportation (truck) is provided for company use Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision insurance 401k with company match Short-Term Disability insurance Paid vacations and holidays Responsibilities: This position offers the opportunity to: Lead a well-established dairy operation with direct impact on product quality and business performance Help shape the future of a respected, multi-generational agricultural business Lead all aspects of herd health, including daily observation, diagnosis, treatment decisions, and preventative care Manage reproduction performance through breeding strategy, and AI coordination Ensure exceptional calf care and successful development into the milking herd Maintain accurate herd records and use data to drive operational decisions Drive efficiency in labor utilization, feed management, and herd productivity Monitor key performance indicators, including: Milk production Reproduction performance Somatic cell count and milk quality Feed efficiency Maintain compliance with all animal welfare, environmental, and workplace safety requirements Ensure audit readiness and adherence to farm standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve performance, efficiency, and team effectiveness Qualifications: Must have experience managing a successful dairy with a track record of producing the highest quality milk Trained in artificial insemination techniques Direct experience managing herd health, reproduction, milk production, and livestock performance Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Communicate successfully with individuals to maximize safety, quality and production Valid driver's license If qualified, please apply here.
