Maintenance Technician III:
Under minimal supervision, leads and participates in a wide variety of advanced skilled journey-level duties that include preventative, corrective, repair, servicing and installation of all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in the Minting Operation.
This is lead level position requiring higher level critical thinking and problem solving, with the ability to take on major buildout projects, major repairs, higher level troubleshooting, project planning regarding plant and machinery improvements. The position will require the availability to take an on-call shift as needed and the flexibility to cover staffing gaps when they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential functions/duties satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Test machinery and make any necessary adjustments for machine product changeovers.
  • High level troubleshooting skills to maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, high and low electrical systems.
  • Weld, solder and connect a variety of pipes, including copper, PVC for water and air runs.
  • Forklift, hoist, rig, align, move and setup machinery or equipment.
  • Install machinery according to cuts sheets, plans and drawings including all wiring, plumbing, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience with VFD's, motor starters, contactors, relays, relay logic, solenoids, coils, control panel building. Must be able to read electrical schematics to aid in troubleshooting, installations and builds.
  • Experience with PLC, ladder logic, low voltage wiring and associated controls.
  • Experience with Hydraulics, high pressure cylinders, directional controls, logic valves, pumps and motors. Must be able to read hydraulic schematics to aid in troubleshooting and installations.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems, cylinders, solenoids, coils, directional valves, flows and related pressures these items use.
  • Experience in high voltage systems, wiring, grounding, wire gauge size relating to amperage, breaker sizing and familiar with NEC codes.
  • Experience with cooling towers, chillers, associated water systems, familiar with water flows and pressures.
  • Must be able to accept direction, feedback and pay attention to details relating project timelines and quality of work.
  • Must have the ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner with the quality of work as priority
  • Lead, mentor, train lower level techs to bring them up to levels that benefit the department.
  • Must have the ability to tackle and solve all problems with minimal direction.
  • Use CMMS system in the aid of daily work order requests, project tracking, charge parts and failure tracking.
  • Ability to demonstrate predictable, reliable attendance with a high-level commitment to plant operations.
